Its starting to feel like Autumn! Summer is coming to a close, school is starting, the leaves are beginning to change. Autumn is my favorite season of the year, and I felt it deserved a celebration, so I made the Autumn Celebration dress! This is a great pattern that I like to use as a base for lots of differnt kinds of dresses (see the August Bliss dress) so feel free to use it for whatever you like, whatever the season!

Sweet Dress!Thanks for the pattern!!
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me what size hook you used? Thanks! love the pattern
ReplyDeleteI used a G 4.25 hook for this dress. Hope this helps!
ReplyDeletethanks so much for the info. Cant wait to make this for my granddaughter's AG doll. Actually can't wait to make ALL your AG doll patterns. Love them!
ReplyDeleteWhat type of yarn did you use?
ReplyDeleteThe yarn I used was Bernat Chunky Yarn. I think the color was "Summerset" or "Fiesta" or something of that nature. Its one of my favorite yarns. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI haven't crocheted in a long time and have only made afghans. BUT I just got my niece an AG Doll and am going to try to make this or the Lacy Shell Doll Dress. Wish me luck cause I don't know what I am doing but I want to make it for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! If you have any trouble, just let me know and I'd love to help. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI see that you used a G needle & Bernat Yard but I was wondering what weight yarn that is? and also how much of the yard is needed?
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot...
Beautiful! I am making some dresses for my daughters' dolls for Christmas and I used this as the basis for them! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteHi I love this pattern. I like to know if you could possiably tell me an easy way to make the arm holes and sleeves please I have been doing the way I taught umpteen years ago when I was first learning to crochet.
ReplyDeletethanks:)
Hi Linda, I don't know what to tell you about the sleeves because I don't know what pattern you are using. In this dress, the pattern develops the sleeves gradually. If I had an idea of what your pattern was like, however, I may be able to help. If you'd like to email me, my email is tennyemaye@gmail.com.
ReplyDeleteHope this helps!
I'm lost at row 8. do i turn or not? what opposite side? or is that making sleeve?
ReplyDeleteAt row 8, you don't turn. You are joining it to the other side to make the skirt part of the dress. From here on out you will be going in circles. ;-)
