Green-and-Purple Scarf/Purse Set

This was a fun way to use up two skeins of green and purple yarn! Simply my creation, didn't use a pattern. If you're interested in making your own verson, learn how to make granny squares...thats all this scarf and purse set was...grannies. I used 10 grannies for the purse, and 10 for the scarf.

Shell Stitch Scarf

I made a shell scarf with some extra yarn I found a couple of days ago. All thanks to the Fat Cat who was somewhat willing to model it for me. ;-)
Below are instructions for the shell stitch. To start out, your chain must be a multiple of 6. For my scarf, I chained 12. Shell is alot like the crazy stitch, only for the crazy stich, you chain a multiple of 4. (FYI, I chained 12 for both scarves)

Flower Squares Hat

When I'm stressed out, I crochet. I crochet like mad. This week was one of the worst weeks of my life, so I dug out this complicated crochet square hat pattern which I had scrounged off the back of a Red-Hearts label. Finished in a day and a half, its absolutely one of the most beautiful and most complicated hats I have ever made. It took me a while to find an online version of this pattern. Enjoy this hat, made of 5 flowery, delicate squares!

Roses

My mom is turning 50 on Sunday, so I decided to give her a boquet of roses... crocheted roses!

I found this incredibly easy pattern, feel free to use. The only extra things you need besides your hook and yarn are pipe cleaners for the stem, and a yarn needle. My yarn needle is currently out of order, so I stitched up my roses with needle and thread instead.

Enjoy! This pattern was a lot of fun, and I was suprised at how easy it was.

Enjoy! ;-)

Crazy Stitch Scarf

I love this amazing stitch! Also called the brick stitch and the crazy shell. Its a bit like the shell stitch, with a wild and fun look to it. If you are doing it right, notice that in one row the "bricks" lean one way, and in the next they lean the other way...etc. Cool!

Here's a pic of a crazy-stitch scarf I am making, and the link to the pattern I used.
