About Me

Hi there. Nice to meet ya. I'm Tennyemaye, and I'm a junior in college, living, loving and crocheting with a fat cat named Vivi.

I’ve been crocheting since forever.  My mother taught me one evening, a very long time ago. I remember that ugly green skein of yarn and that blue crochet hook, which I so awkwardly held in my clumsy fingers. My mother gave me the basic foundation by teaching me the chain stitch, single, and double crochet, and by being patient with my many mistakes and helping me through my many pathetic attempts at projects.  From there, I learned everything I know from blogs like this one (the internet is a wonderful thing). Now, the sky’s the limit. I love to try new things, new methods, and new fibers. I get a kick out of writing my own patterns, designing my own creations, and sharing them with the world.

Crocheting is good. It just is. It coaxes the worries out of my head, it numbs my heart to pain, it makes me feel useful, it helps others, it lets me see the beauty and the precision and the art in life. And for that reason, I will always be crocheting, and I hope to help you love crocheting as much as I do!

Vivi is my baby, my precious, and my fat cat. She loves it when I get out my crocheting, because crochet means yarn, and yarn means…eyes get wide, head lowers, tail slowly twitching, wiggle her backside and POUNCE. The yarn is her victim again. When she sees yarn, she stops being that lazy house cat and suddenly becomes the fiercest lioness in the jungles of Africa, and the yarn is her prey. Of all the things my cat and I have in common, one big thing is we both LOVE YARN.

I love my Savior, my family, my cat, and my yarn, in that order! And I hope to, through this blog, share that love to the world

Lots of love and blessings!
